Welcome to the Fall 2017 Graduate and Professional School Day!

Graduate and Professional School Day is an annual event that offers students the opportunity to meet in a career fair-like setting with graduate and professional school representatives from around the USA and abroad.

This event attracts a diverse group of graduate and professional schools along with representatives from a variety of health professional programs.  Both current and former students and local community members that are interested in furthering their education in a graduate or professional program are welcome to attend on Thursday, October 12, 2017.

REGISTRATION INFORMATION

Deadline and Fees

Registration Fee:  $175 (includes one 6’ x 3’ table and one representative).

Registration Deadline:  Friday, September 29, 2017

Space is limited, therefore, registrations will be taken on a first-come, first-served basis.

Cancellation Policy

If you must cancel your reservation, please let us know as soon as possible.  Your registration fee will be refunded, if a cancellation notification is made prior to October 2nd.  No refunds will be processed after 12 midnight on October 2nd.

Facilities

This year’s event will be held in the Rudder Exhibit Hall.  Tables will not be skirted; therefore, it is recommended that you bring your school or departmental tablecloth.  Wireless access will be available in Rudder Exhibit Hall.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Parking

Parking is the responsibility of each participant and is NOT included in the registration fees.  It is highly recommended that you enter the campus at the intersection of George Bush Drive and Houston Street and park in the University Center Garage (UCG) located directly across Joe Routt Blvd. from the MSC/Rudder Complex, adjacent to the John J. Koldus Building.  Entrances to the garage are located on Houston and Throckmorton Streets.   If the University Center Garage is FULL, follow the map to the Cain Student Services Garage or West Campus Garage (WCG).  See Campus Area Map for driving directions.

PARKING PROCEDURES
The Visitor’s entrance is located on Throckmorton Street.  Pull a ticket to enter the garage and park in any unmarked space on the first two levels.  Parking in other areas may result in a ticket and/or towing of your vehicle.  Pay before exiting at the ticket booth located on the first floor of the Koldus Building.  You will be given an exit ticket.

If the University Center Garage is FULL, proceed to the Cain Student Service Garage which is located between Wellborn Road and The Memorial Student Center (MSC) or West Campus Garage which is located across Wellborn Road and the railroad track at Olsen and John Kimbrough Blvd.

  • University Center Garage (UCG) - $15/day maximum
  • Cain Student Services Garage - $15/day maximum
  • West Campus Garage (WCG) - $15/day maximum

Materials Shipping and Returning

Materials may be shipped prior to the event to the address below.  Include your name on the shipping label.  Your materials will be on your table when you arrive the morning of the event.

Returning Materials
Each program representative is responsible for the return shipment of their graduate program resources.  If the necessary shipping forms along with your account information are completed, then recruiting materials will be picked up and shipped. Any remaining recruiting literature will be recycled.

Food and Hospitality

A hospitality area with finger foods, snacks and beverages will be available.  Bottled water and sodas will be distributed at the booth location throughout the afternoon.

Advertising

The Career Center advertises this event beginning in mid-summer and continues through the day of the event.  If you wish to purchase additional advertising through the student newspaper, please contact The Battalion.
