    This major includes the study of sciences of the atmosphere, weather, and climate which are so important to human activities and life on this planet. Atmospheric science applies physics, mathematics, and chemistry to understand the atmosphere and its interactions with land and sea. One of the goals of atmospheric science is to understand the atmosphere well enough to make accurate predictions of important phenomena, such as weather, climate, and urban air quality.
