TAMU CAREER CENTER

    ACKNOWLEDGMENT OF USER FEE
    • The Career Center provides the following free services: Individual career advising, workshops, use of career resources library, employer presentations, and career fairs.
    • I am aware of the Career Centers $50.00 user fee related to on-campus interview services, resume referral, and job vacancy postings for each fall or spring semester I choose to register.  If I register with the Career Center for these services, I understand that I am responsible to the university to promptly pay the $50.00 user fee when the fee is assessed by the university. Failure to pay fees within the set university time frame may result in a late penalty assessment by the university in accordance with university practices.

    CONSENT TO RELEASE RECORDS

    • I grant the Texas AM University Career Center permission to release the resume(s) submitted through the on-line registration process to prospective employers in printed and/or electronic format or via the Internet.
    • I certify that the information furnished the Career Center on my resume and in the demographic data section is correct.
    • I understand that furnishing false information is a violation of student standards of conduct. If false information is discovered, I will be blocked from use of the Career Center services. Notification of the false information will then be sent to all companies to whom the false information was sent.
    • I understand that demographic data on gender, ethnicity (race), handicap status, veteran status, and birth date (age) collected in Web Registration is voluntary.  I understand that leaving these fields blank will not effect my registration in the Texas AM University office requesting this information.
    • I understand that the Career Center requires my GPR be included in the demographic data section and on the resume(s) submitted through the on-line registration system (AggieLaunch) for on-campus interviewing, resume referral, and job vacancy database.

    ACKNOWLEDGMENT OF JOB SEARCH ETHICS

    • When I accept a job offer in good faith, I will:
    1. Stop all interviewing
    2. Notify, on a timely basis, all other employers actively recruiting me that I have accepted an employment offer, and
    3. Fulfill my commitments in the job offer I have accepted, and not consider other offers of employment
    • If I need to cancel a scheduled interview, I will do so as soon as possible. I will cancel interviews on-line in AggieLaunch or by contacting the Career Center by telephone or in person. If I cancel a Career Center interview after 4:00pm, two business days prior to the interview, the No Show and Late Cancellation Policy will be enforced (AggieLaunch account access will be blocked).   Cancellations by e-mail are not accepted.
    • I will request reimbursement for only reasonable and legitimate expenses by employers in the recruiting process.
