The Texas A&M University Career Center is at the forefront of universities offering web-based career services. This allows students to have access to a variety of career information day or night through any computer with Internet access.

AggieLaunch provides everything from career exploration tools for freshmen to job search tools for new graduates and former students. In the 2004-2005 academic year, more than 1,500 employers conducted 20,000+ interviews for internships, co-ops, and full time jobs using AggieLaunch. In addition, numerous databases and career development resources are available for all majors. One example is CareerSearch, a database of over three million companies that is keyword and location searchable. Other services include CareerBeam, Perfect Interview, Going Global, Internships USA, JobWeb, Sigi 3, and Vault or Wetfeet Career Guides.

AggiE-folio is a new web-based service that allows students to create a password-protected electronic portfolio that can be viewed by guests. Staff and faculty can use AggiE-folio to set up communities to help students collect and evaluate material for their portfolios.

The Career Center Event Calendar allows anyone to easily search out a list of available workshops and events or to see every career or employer event that occurs in a given week or month. The calendar provides information on time, location, expected attire and how to RSVP.

The Career Center RSS feed provides timely career information simply by subscribing using an RSS reader. MyMSN and myYahoo provide RSS readers on user homepages or there are free services such as Bloglines. There is also free software available such as RSSReader or NetNewsWire.
