Student:
- Attends Co-op orientation.
- Completes on-line registration, resume/degree plan, signs Statement of Ethics.
- Meets with Faculty Co-op Advisor for signature/ date on degree plan.
- Calls Co-op office and makes appointment with Co-op Advisor.
- Turns in paperwork and conducts job search with help of Co-op Advisor.
- Receives job offer, responds in time allotted by the employer.
- Registers for Co-op course in Co-op office.
- Attends Work Skills seminar.
- Pays tuition and fees.
- Reports to work.
- Mails technical report, addendum, and employer evaluation to Faculty Co-op Advisor. Submits addendum on-line via Career Center account and submits hard copy of the employer evaluation to the Co-op Office.
- Co-op emails reminder for early registration information to Co-ops at work.
- Registers during early registration period.
- Faculty Co-op Advisor grades report.
- Picks up graded report from Faculty Co-op Advisor and turns in student evaluation of Co-op experience to Co-op office after returning to campus.
2nd and 3rd terms:
Student sends Return-to-work letter to company confirming start date, location, etc. for the next work term and repeats steps 7 through 15, with the exception of step 8. Any changes in degree plan or work sequence must be approved by Co-op Advisor and Faculty Co-op Advisor.
If student completes three work terms, student applies for Co-op certificate at the beginning of the semester in which he/she will graduate. (Must not include 2 summers if only 3 terms worked)
