You should always check with your ISS advisor before applying for internship, co-op or full-time positions. The earlier the better because completing the required paperwork can be time consuming. You do NOT want to work off-campus without first checking with your ISS advisor because you could be in violation of federal law.

Information about H1 visa:
Get detailed information about applying, processing and renewing of H1 visas that allows internationals to legally work in the USA at the US Department of Labor H1B site. The US Department of Labor provides a list of companies that have applied for H1B in their H1B Disclosure Database. This database is quite large, but can be downloaded in MS Access or comma delimited format for detailed searching. There are some limited search features provided on the web site. It is publicly available, so there is no charge.
