  • Attend workshops to enhance your job search skills
    Update your resume, and have it reviewed by Career Center staff.
  • Research company information (link to free secure site)
  • Register with AggieLaunch and complement this with your individual efforts.
  • Identify skills you can offer employers that align with their needs.
  • Attend career fairs relevant to your interests
  • Renew membership and maintain leadership roles in student organizations
  • Maintain relationships with academic advisor, faculty and mentor(s)
  • Select faculty and administrators to act as references
  • Use the Career Center Resource Library to research job search strategies and potential employers.
  • Utilize The Aggie Network resources to find access to hiring authorities.
  • Send resume and cover letters and follow-up with telephone calls.
  • Take graduate or professional school entrance exams.
  • Evaluate offers and write letters to accept or decline a position.
  • Inform the Career Center if you accepted a position.
  • Update file of career-related projects and references
