Step 7

Implement your full-time job or graduate school search

You are now at the step where you begin to integrate all of your experiences into a planned career.  Some academic departments offer senior seminar classes where graduating seniors are given the necessary tools required to be successful during their search for full-time employment upon graduation.  These courses provide students with informational interviewing and job search skills as well as knowledge on how to locate job openings.

Students who are within three semesters of graduation should register to participate in the on-campus interviewing  program through the Career Center.

Students should be aware of job vacancies that do not involve on-campus interviewing.  These job listings can be found on AggieLaunch and in the Career Center Library.

Students who are considering graduate school after their undergraduate program at Texas A&M should attend Graduate/Professional School Day which is currently offered in the fall semester during the month of October.

The Career Center Library maintains a section on graduate school information with a wealth of resources that reference the graduate school application process.

A workshop on applying to graduate school is also offered by the Career Center.
