The Career Center's mission is to promote career learning and development, empowering all Aggies to realize their potential and establishing Texas A&M University as a preferred source of talent.

Established in 1939 and recognized nationally, the Texas A&M Career Center is a comprehensive career development and employment service for students of all majors and classifications, providing one point of contact for the recruiting efforts of companies and organizations.Drawing upon more than 250 years of experience and education related to the populations served, our uniquely qualified team members provide all Aggies with the knowledge, services and tools necessary to achieve their career goals. 


 

Career Center Goals

Texas A&M’s Career Center will:

  • Assist all current and former students in the development, evaluation, and implementation of their lifelong career management skills.

  • Develop collaborative relationships with employers and other external constituencies.

  • Advance the mission of the institution by supporting academic and experiential learning programs to promote student learning and student development.

  • Support the institutional outcomes assessment and other relevant research endeavors.

  • Provide direct leadership to Texas A&M University on career development issues and indirect leadership to other institutions.

Student Learning Outcomes

By utilizing the Career Center, students and former students will be able to:

  • Identify and describe their skills, knowledge, interests, and experiences relevant to desired career goals or professional/graduate school goals.

  • Demonstrate effective oral and written communication skills.

  • Use appropriate strategies and tools during the job search or professional/graduate program search process.

  • Create a plan of personal goals for professional growth.
