In this major, students learn about the science and development of plants. With the Bachelor of Science option in Horticulture, students can emphasize science and technology or manage a farm or greenhouse. The BS has emphasis areas in Fruit and Vegetable Production, Nursery Crop Production, Landscape Management, and Science and Biotechnology. With the Bachelor of Arts option in Horticulture, students can choose a more artistic career path, from designing corporate interiorscapes to planning wedding receptions. The BA has emphasis areas in Urban Horticulture, Floral Design, and Event Planning.
