Nutritional Sciences

Nutritionists and Dieticians study the effects of nutrition and diet on human health and disease, and promote health by encouraging healthy food choices and nutritional behaviors.  This major provides knowledge of the biological and social sciences involved in food and human nutrition that optimize our health and well-being. Choose from three degree tracks: General Nutrition, Molecular and Experimental, and the Didactic Program. Core courses emphasize the role of nutrients in biochemistry, genetics, physiology, microbiology and immunology that promotes wellness and enhances the quality of life.
