Taylor L. McKibbon ’11 Leadership Award

The Taylor L. McKibbon ’11 Leadership Award honors ACT students each year who demonstrate hard work and dedication to Aggie Career Team through their leadership. The award is named after Taylor McKibbon ’11, who served as the President of Aggie Career Team from 2009-2011. Because of his leadership, vision, and support of Aggie Career Team, this award was established by the Career Center in 2012 in his honor. It is awarded each spring semester.

Cole A. Kilgore ’14 Service Award

The Cole A. Kilgore ’14 Service Award honors ACT students each year who demonstrate outstanding service to the Career Center and Texas A&M University throughout their commitment in the Aggie Career Team. The award is named after Cole Kilgore ’14, who served as a dedicated member of Aggie Career Team for four years, from 2010-2014. He was the first member to hold every possible level of leadership within ACT: Ambassador (2010-2011), Vice President (2011-2012), Executive Vice President (2012-2013) and President (2013-2014). This award was established in 2014 in his honor and is awarded each spring semester.

Leslie E. Smola ’15 New Member of the Year Award

The Leslie E. Smola ’15 New Member of the Year Award is awarded to a new member in Aggie Career Team that demonstrates a strong commitment to the organization through their participation and service. The award is named after Leslie Smola ’15, who served as a steadfast member and leader of Aggie Career Team for four years, from 2011-2015. She was an Ambassador (2011-2012), Vice President (2012-2013), Executive Vice President (2013-2014), and President (2014-2015). Leslie was the first ever recipient of the New Member of the Year Award in fall 2011 and the award was renamed in 2015 in her honor. It is awarded each fall semester.

Marla G. Martinez ’19 impACT Award

The Marla G. Martinez ’19 impACT Award honors and recognizes Aggie Career Team students each year who have made a significant impact on the organization that will live on long after their graduation. The award is named after Marla Martinez ’19, ’21 who served as a committed member of Aggie Career Team for four years, from 2017-2021. She was an Ambassador (2017-2018; 2019-2020) and Vice President (2018-2019; 2020-2021), and she holistically and humbly served the organization throughout her tenure. Marla was one of the first recipients of the impACT Award in spring 2018 and the award was renamed in 2021 in her honor. It is awarded each spring semester.

Gold and Silver Ambassador Awards

The Gold Ambassador Award is awarded to the member with the highest number of accumulated points throughout the semester in Aggie Career Team. It is awarded each spring and fall semester. The Silver Ambassador Award is awarded to the member with the second highest number of accumulated points throughout the semester in Aggie Career Team. It is awarded each spring and fall semester.
