Advising

The Graduate & Professional School Advising staff is dedicated to providing accurate, personal advice to Texas A&M students and former students and we have several ways for you to contact us:

• Appointments are perfect when you need to discuss individual concerns and non-general questions unique to your situation. To schedule a private, 30-minute appointment with a specific advisor, please call 979-847-8938 and the we will find a time that works best for you.
• Drop-In Advising works well for quick questions and you will have 10 minutes or so with an advisor. Students are seen in the order they enter the Zoom. Call our office at 979-847-8938 to get upcoming hours.
• Group Advising is great for when you have general questions, such as asking about prerequisites, admissions tests, timelines for applying or gaining exposure to your profession. Call our office at 979-847-8938 to learn about upcoming sessions.
• Email allows you to ask general questions 24/7 and receive a response. You can send your query to [email protected] or directly to the appropriate advisor from the directory. Medical/Dental Portal questions should be sent to [email protected]

Applying to professional school is a very detailed endeavor with lots of moving parts. The advisors maintain a listserv for every profession and send announcements about every aspect of the process. Find a profession to sign up for a listserv.
