All Professions Workshops
This workshop will help a first-year student learn how to best navigate their journey of college. This informational will provide helpful tips from Professional School Advising on how to pave the way to future professional health schools! All Healthcare Professions
Essay Reviews are held virtually through Zoom. Instructions on how to register for a review are sent through our listservs a day or two before the review date. These reviews are offered April through August.
Prepare yourself for the interview process for entrance into professional schools. Discussion includes interview tips and advice for virtual and in person interviews, to general interview mistakes and issues, to FAQs. Workshops are offered July through November.
Participants will gain strategies and specific on and off campus resources to support them during each phase of the writing process. Offered February through April.
This session will guide attendees to the “why” behind their desire to go into a particular health profession, and it is designed to help catalyze the personal statement writing process. Attendees need to come prepared with the necessary materials to write their reflections.
JAMP
This workshop will go over the eligibility requirements for JAMP. Workshops generally held in March and April.
These workshops are for pre-JAMP students. We will go over the JAMP online application and explain the required documentation for Professional & Graduate Student Advising. Generally held June-July.
Law
This workshop will cover the law school application process. Topics covered: application timeline, LSAT, budget for the application process, Credential Assembly Service (CAS), letters of recommendation, transcripts, resume, personal statement, addendums and more.
Applicants will learn how to navigate the application portal, develop a timeline and set personal goals for the application process. Generally held August-October.
This workshop will cover one of the most difficult pieces of the law school application: the personal statement.
Things to consider: How might a law school evaluate your statement? Why do you want to attend law school? While being told you were good at arguing from a young age is nice, you need to dig deeper. Tip: Do not share that in your personal statement.
To attend a drop in session, you MUST have both your personal statement and your resume completed.

Medical and Dental
This workshop will prepare Aggies to apply to medical or dental school in the summer of 2026, for fall 2027 matriculation. The sections and use of the PGSA Portal will be covered, and general information on what applicants can be doing between now and the applications opening in May 2026. Workshops held September – December.
This workshop will prepare Aggies to re-apply to medical or dental school in summer 2026, for fall 2027 matriculation. If you are a re-applicant or if you graduated in August 2025 or earlier, you are not required to attend a workshop, but it is strongly encouraged!
Specifically we will be discussing the letters of evaluation, the PGSA Portal, creating a personal timeline and important dates. Additionally, presenting yourself as a better applicant will be emphasized. Held in February.
With the OPSA Portal deadlines rapidly approaching, these Q&A drop-ins will support EY 2026 applicants utilizing this resource through addressing inquiries and reduce response time for those requests sent to [email protected]. Hours are come-and-go and no registration is required. Held throughout March.
These workshops prepare students for the step-by-step application process with a special focus on the TMDSAS application. Workshops are held April through August.
Nursing
This workshop is for first-year students who want to learn more about becoming a registered nurse. In this session, students will learn about the different educational pathways, the typical prerequisite courses, and the admissions tests. Special attention given to students hoping to attend nursing school after their sophomore year. Followed by Q&A.
A Pre-Application Workshop can help students feel confident and prepared as they begin the application process for their professional programs. During the session, students can learn how to navigate application systems, organize materials, and understand key deadlines. The workshop also provides insight into what admissions committees look for, helping students present their experiences and goals effectively. Overall, it’s a valuable opportunity to ask questions, clarify requirements, and develop a strong plan for a successful application.
Our application workshops are virtual and will cover the process and best tips for applying to nursing school. Details include NursingCAS, transcripts, HESI/TEAS nursing exams, and Kira Talent. Held in April/May and November.
Occupational Therapy
This workshop will cover the OT school application process. Topics covered: GRE, application timeline, transcripts, letters of evaluation, shadow hours, community service, personal statements, and resumes. OTCAS opens annually in July.

Pharmacy
This workshop will cover the pharmacy school application process. Topics covered: application timeline, PCAT, transcripts, letters of evaluation, shadow hours, community service, personal statements and resumes. PharmCAS opens annually in July. If you have any questions, please reach out directly to the pre-pharmacy advisor.
Physical Therapy
This workshop will cover the PT school application process. Topics covered: application timeline, GRE, transcripts, letters of evaluation, shadow hours, community service, personal statements and resumes. PTCAS opens annually in June. Workshops are held in late spring.

Enhance your competitiveness for PA school beyond just academics. In this workshop, we will explore the difference between patient care experience and healthcare experience, share tips for gaining healthcare experience and networking effectively, and discuss how to maximize your time at Texas A&M.
How to prepare to be competitive for PA school! If you are a freshman, sophomore, or have just decided you want to become a PA, this workshop is for you. In this workshop, you will learn about PA prerequisites, GPA, patient care hours, extracurriculars, leadership, GRE and Casper Exam.
Veterinary Medicine
This workshop will highlight the sections of the vet school application (Texas) to help students decide if they are competitive in order to apply and decide what else they can plan to do in the spring/summer of the year they apply. Meetings held in January through April and October through November.
This workshop will go through the Texas (TMDSAS) vet school application for the 2026 opening cycle. For those students interested in applying to vet schools in the summer of 2026 for matriculation to vet school in the summer of 2027. You are welcome to attend even if you are not sure if you are ready to apply. Generally held April-May.
