This major is purposefully designed to require that students complete coursework that educates them in interdisciplinary knowledge as it relates to race, gender, and ethnicity. It combines concepts included in political science and sociology, as well as history, psychology, and communication. This major is offered as both the Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science. Students seeking the BA will be required to complete a four-course sequence in a foreign language while students seeking the BS must take an additional six hours of math or science coursework. All students who seek this major will be required to have two minors.
