This major is the study of the acute responses and chronic adaptations to a wide-range of physical exercise conditions, including the scientific study of human movement. Students in this major select from three specialization options: Applied Exercise Physiology (AEP), Basic Exercise Physiology (BEP), and Motor Behavior (MB). AEP prepares students to enter professional school or begin careers in numerous allied health and medical fields. BEP provides a background in the physical and biological sciences required for additional graduate study in Exercise Physiology or entry into medical, dental, or physical therapy schools. MB prepares students who wish to enter physical or occupational therapy professional schools.
